Clear View Training E-Commerce Platform (ECP)

Welcome to our E-Commerce Platform worked example!

You should work through this example in conjunction with our books "UML and the Unified Process", "UML 2 and the Unified Process" and "Secrets of Analysis". This example is also used for laboratory work in our popular UML course.

Our aim is to take you through the whole process of OO, requirements, analysis, design and a little bit of implementation to illustrate the key modeling techniques.

In order to make this at all practicable we have made the example as realistic as we can, yet also tried to keep it as simple as possible so that you can focus on the techniques and deliverables rather than get lost in the detail of the problem domain.

Our example is a simple e-commerce platform that sells books and CDs for Clear View Training. It is known as the ECP for short. In fact, our bookshop on our previous website (before we moved to content management) was based entirely on this example.
