Advantages of STAR
Getting and installing the STAR tools
The STAR prototype is written in Python and uses a lot of open source software. You will need to have this installed on your platform before you can run the STAR tools.
STAR installation
Step 0: install a JVM on your platform (you probably already have one)
Step 1: install Python on your platform.
Step 2: install wxPython.
Step 3: install XALAN.
Step 4: install FOP.
Step 5: Download STAR and schema and unzip into a working directory.
